Artist's Description

After laying down the colors with my latest painting, I began to see forms that reminded me of futuristic buildings. I used some of the brush strokes of the painting to guide my eye, and added the John R. Roebling bridge and the Great American Tower, affectionately known as the 'The Tiara Tower', since it resembles a Queen's diamond tiara. The bridge from Cincinnati to Covington, Ky. was opened on Jan. 1, 1867, and was the prototype design for the East River or Brooklyn Bridge.

Diane Pape

I hail from Evansville, Ind. and currently reside in Mason, Ohio, having spent 30 yrs. in Cincinnati in between. I received my degree in Fine Art from Indiana University, Bloomington, majoring in graphic design and also with a concentration in painting. After graduation, I worked at various jobs while also selling paintings along the way. The jobs ranged from an ad agency to the airlines to a live children's TV...
